Itinerary

SUNDAY
We travel north, with suitable stops en route, before joining the ferry for the twenty minute crossing to Dunoon.

MONDAY
A morning at leisure and an afternoon visit to the enchanting Benmore Botanic Garden in its magnificent mountainside setting and surrounded by dramatic scenery.

TUESDAY
We travel through stunning scenery beside Loch Eck, to the shores of Loch Fyne and the delightful historic town of Inveraray, where there will be time, for those who wish, to visit the famous jail. (Admission not included).

WEDNESDAY
Today we travel to Luss, a beautiful conservation village right on the banks of Loch Lomond, and visit Loch Lomond Shores. We continue from Luss to visit The Hill House, widely regarded as one of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s finest works, and home to original Mackintosh furniture and interior design, as well as attractive formal gardens.

THURSDAY
Another scenic drive today as we travel to the Isle of Bute, via the short ferry crossing from Colintraive to Rhubodach, which takes just a few minutes. We visit Mount Stuart House, often described as an architectural masterpiece and one of the world’s great houses, before returning to Dunoon.

FRIDAY
We commence our homeward journey, with suitable stops en route.
