Holiday Itinerary

Outward journey with a suitable lunch stop en route.

A day free to relax and enjoy the attractions in Eastbourne.

We visit Tenterden, nestling in the heart of the Weald of Kent. This town, rich in history, has largely escaped modern development, and its broad tree lined High Street is brimming with interesting shops.  From here we board the East Kent and Sussex Railway, a fine example of a rural light railway. We gently wend our way through ten and a half miles of unspoilt countryside to terminate in the shadow of the magnificent Bodiam Castle.

We travel the short distance along the coast to Beachy Head to enjoy the spectacular views, before continuing to Arundel, a town rich in history and culture and dominated by its Norman Castle, one of the great treasure houses of England. There will be time to visit the castle for those who wish to do so (Admission not included).

We commence our homeward journey, making suitable stops en route.
