Holiday Itinerary

Outward journey with suitable stops en route.

A day at leisure.

A leisurely day exploring the unique and beautiful New Forest, one of the last places in the south east of England that can offer a sense of wilderness and tranquillity. Our excursion takes us across the National Park passing Totton, Fawley and Beaulieu to Lymington, where we have time for lunch (at own expense), before continuing to Lyndhurst and returning to Bournemouth via Christchurch.

We drive to maritime Poole to explore the historic quay area, and then board the Sandbanks ferry to Studland. We continue to the beautiful dorset seaside resort of Swanage, set at the heart of Purbeck and built around a beautiful sheltered bay, before returning to Bournemouth via Corfe Castle, for a glimpse of the 12th century castle ruins.

A day excursion to Portsmouth, a naval city with a fine nautical heritage. Here you’ll find HMS Victory, the Royal Naval Museum, and the amazing Spinnaker Tower standing 555ft over Gun Wharf Quay.

A morning visit to Weymouth, with its long level promenade, award winning beach and bustling harbour side. On in the afternoon to Dorchester, the beautiful county town of Dorset, steeped in history and culture and in the heart of Thomas Hardy’s Wessex.

A day at leisure.

We depart after breakfast and commence our homeward journey, with suitable stops en route.

Note: The five day tour excludes days two, five and six of the itinerary. The seven day tour excludes day five of the itinerary.
