An early start as we make our way to Dover for the short channel crossing to Calais and continue to the Mercure Hotel Saarbrucken Sud for bed and breakfast accommodation.
We arrive in Fai della Paganella late afternoon with time to relax or perhaps take a stroll, before enjoying the first evening meal.
A day at leisure. Enjoy a guided walk and picnic in the surrounding countryside with Fausto, the hotel owner, or if you prefer just relax and enjoy the mountain scenery.
A full day tour of the fabulous Brenta Dolomite mountain range. We journey up the Val di Sole and then over the pass at Madonna di Campiglio, from where there are spectacular views of the Brenta Peaks. We continue to the charming and pretty Lake Molveno, before returning to the hotel.
We visit the beautiful spa city of Merano to enjoy a morning strolling around the town’s vibrant centre. Perhaps take the chair lift to admire the scenic views and then walk through the botanical gardens. An afternoon drive along the Adige Valley’s famous wine route, with a break at Lake Caldaro for a wine tasting.
A day out to Riva del Garda, based on the northern point of this stunningly beautiful and largest Italian lake. Lake Garda is some 30 miles long, sheltered in the north by the magnificent mountains of the Dolomites and opening out to the south like a huge inland sea. Along its verdant shore grow vines and olive groves. You will find the resort of Riva del Garda is a pleasure to explore, with colourful fishing boats and pleasure craft, water sports, a charming pedestrianised medieval centre, and everywhere lush vegetation and exotic flowers.
After breakfast we start our journey back into Germany for overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.
We make our way to Calais where we board the ferry to Dover, and continue homeward.
Please note: There will be a city tax to be paid directly to the hotel in Fai della Paganella. Currently this tax is €1 per person, per night, however it is subject to change.
