Two nights dinner bed & breakfast
Set in a beautiful countryside setting in the quaint village of Tong, this ivy clad former vicarage offers a charming country house welcome. Bedrooms have fine views. Facilities include: Courtyard restaurant & Fire lounge.
We journey to York, where you can explore some of the city’s many attractions. There’s the National Railway Museum, the City Walls, the Minster, the Shambles, and not forgetting the famous Betty’s Tearooms and cosy pubs where you may wish to enjoy lunch (at own expense). Continue to our hotel for dinner, bed and breakfast.
We travel to the picturesque village of Haworth, made famous thanks to the Brontë sisters, and now an appealing destination where you can browse up and down the cobbled High Street, and soak up the atmosphere. It may surprise you to know that Haworth is twinned with Machu Picchu! From here we board the train and enjoy a ride on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway from Haworth to Keighley, and then continue to Skipton where we board a canal boat cruise with
tea/coffee and biscuits included.
After breakfast we make our way to Holmfirth, with time for a break, before boarding the vintage coach for the “Summer Wine Magic” tour with running commentary. We start from “Sids Café” in Holmfirth and take in the film locations and some of the most beautiful scenery found in the foothills of the Pennines. Time to obtain lunch (at own expense) before leaving midafternoon for the journey home.
