A leisurely outward journey to the delightful spa town of Harrogate, with its acres of immaculate gardens, elegant buildings and excellent shops, including the famous Betty's Tea Rooms.
A scenic excursion into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We make our way to the Wensleydale Creamery, in the heart of the Dales and an extraordinary place to visit, full of history, heritage and cheese! In the afternoon we continue our journey to Grassington, one of the best loved of all the Dales villages, with its diminutive cobbled square, and little alleyways to explore, before returning to Harrogate via Pateley Bridge.
Our excursion today takes us to Thirsk, and The World of James Herriot. Step back in time and see the home and surgery of the world’s most famous vet, which has been restored to its 1940’s splendour. We allow time to explore Thirsk, before our included visit to the famous Black Sheep Brewery set in the heart of the National Park. Finally we call at the picturesque town of Knaresborough, with its iconic viaduct, castle ruins, and warren of cobbled streets spilling down to the River Nidd.
A wonderful day out in York, one of the most fascinating, diverse and romantic cities in Europe. As well as exquisite architecture and the iconic Minster, you’ll find a wealth of world class visitor attractions and fantastic shops.
A morning at leisure in Harrogate, with the option of a morning transfer to RHS Harlow Carr Gardens (Admission not included) We commence our homeward journey mid afternoon.
