Four nights dinner bed & breakfast
Located on the River Tywi and within walking distance of the town centre, the Ivy Bush has been sympathetically modernised whilst retaining its old world charm. Features include: Restaurant; large lounge area; and bar. There may be a few steps along the corridors to access some of the bedrooms.
SUNDAY
We travel to Carmarthen, making suitable stops en route, and arrive late afternoon at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel. Enjoy a complimentary drink prior to dinner and a relaxing evening listening to a harpist.
MONDAY
We travel west to the popular holiday resort of Tenby, South West Wales’ premier holiday resort, and here you’ll find old town walls, interesting little side streets to explore and superb beaches. During the afternoon we make our way to Picton Castle and Woodland Garden. Regarded as Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home and garden, Picton has 40 acres of some of the most beautiful gardens and grounds in West Wales.
TUESDAY
South today through Kidwelly as we journey to the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, delightfully located on Swansea Bay. This afternoon we have a short drive to the Gower Heritage Centre at Parkmill, where we meet our guide for a tour to the unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula. After the tour we return to the Heritage Centre and enjoy a Gower Cream Tea.
WEDNESDAY
Today we travel via St Bride’s Bay and Newgale Sands to the magical place of St David’s, Britain’s smallest cathedral city. Time at leisure, before re-joining the coach as we head around the Presili Mountains back to the hotel.
THURSDAY
We depart after breakfast and commence our homeward journey.
