Facilities include: Modern restaurant and lounge with stunning sea views; free Wi-Fi; entertainment on two nights and an Irish coffee after dinner on the final evening.
We travel to Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin, and the short journey to Bray for our four night stay. A welcome drink will be served
After a leisurely breakfast we visit Powerscourt House and Gardens, a glorious estate set beneath the Wicklow Mountains with an international collection of plants, and statuary and styles shaped over 280 years. We continue through the Wicklow National Park to Glendalough and its monastic ruins standing in a peaceful woodland setting.
We begin today with a scenic journey on Ireland’s oldest railway, following the coast from Bray to Dublin. Accompanied by a qualified guide you’ll enjoy a panorama of city, coast and countryside as the DART train carries you to the seaside resort of Malahide, where tea and scones will be served. Time at leisure to explore one of Ireland’s most beautiful and well known towns with its heritage village, gorgeous views of Dublin Bay and marina, before joining our coach to return to the hotel.
What better place to begin your day in Dublin than on the River Liffey, with a pleasure cruise through the heart of the capital. An informative commentary reveals the city’s history as you discover some of the major landmarks including Ha-penny Bridge and Customs House. Enjoy a free afternoon in Dublin’s many galleries, museums, shops and cafés before returning to Bray. A complimentary Irish coffee will be served after dinner this evening.
We depart the hotel to board an early morning ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, with breakfast included on board, and continue homeward.
