Note: The small lift does not serve the third floor, and there are steps on the access route between the lift and adjacent bedroom corridors.

Holiday Itinerary


DAY 1 Outward journey with suitable stops en route.

DAY 2 A leisurely day exploring the unique and beautiful New Forest, one of the last places in the south east of England that can offer a sense of wilderness and tranquillity. Our excursion takes us across the National
Park passing Totton and Beaulieu to Lymington, for a short break. From here we continue to Lyndhurst and Christchurch, where we have time at leisure and to obtain lunch, before returning to Bournemouth.

DAY 3 We drive to the remarkable 15th centur y Athelhampton House & Gardens, one of the finest Tudor houses in England. Here you can step back in time and view the beautiful historic house and stunning gardens.

DAY 4 At leisure in your resort.

DAY 5 At leisure in your resort.

DAY 6 We drive to maritime Poole to explore the historic quay area, and then board the Sandbanks ferry to Studland. We continue to the beautiful Dorset seaside resort of Swanage, set at the heart of Purbeck and built around a beautiful sheltered bay. Time to explore and obtain lunch, before we board the Swanage Heritage Railway for a journey past the ruins of the 12th century Corfe Castle, to Norden, where we re-join our coach and return to Bournemouth.

DAY 7 A morning in Dorchester, the beautiful county town of Dorset, steeped in history and culture and in the heart of Thomas Hardy's Wessex. In the afternoon we make our way to the Tank Museum at Bovington. Here you can follow the story of the tank from its invention in 1915 through the 20th century and into the future, guided by accounts from veterans, and with a fascinating supporting collection.

DAY 8 We depart after breakfast and commence our homeward journey, with suitable stops en route.
