MONDAY Outward journey to Scotland, arriving at our hotel during the late afternoon.
TUESDAY Enjoy a day of wonderful scenery as we journey through Glen Coe, Scotland's most famous and scenic glen. We take a break at the Glen Coe Visitors Centre, before continuing to Fort William, one of Scotland's leading holiday resorts, renowned for its dramatic location on the banks of Loch Linnhe and under the mighty bulk of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. We have time at leisure here, before returning to the hotel.
WEDNESDAY Today we make our way to Oban, capital of the West Coast, and Scotland's favourite West Highland retreat. You'll have time to wander down winding streets overlooking the stunningly picturesque bay, buzzing with activity, or perhaps take a walk up to McCaigs Tower, to enjoy spectacular views across Oban Bay. Later we visit Cruachan Power Station - The Hollow Mountain - one of the country's most amazing engineering achievements and an underground world on a spectacular scale. There will be the opportunity to perhaps get sight of the Ospreys on Loch Awe, before returning to our hotel.
THURSDAY This morning we take a short detour to Killin, where the beautiful Falls of Dochart and its famous white waters can be viewed form the village's bridge. From here we continue along the banks of Loch Earn to Crieff, a traditional market town with a bustling town centre, set amidst Perthshire's stunning scenery. Time at leisure, before making the short transfer to Drummond Castle Gardens. Here you can stroll amongst exquisite topiary, relax and savour the peace and beauty of the gardens. The attention to detail and formal planting has placed the gardens in the list of the finest in Europe, however those with mobility issues should be aware that the garden is built on a steep hillside and several flights of steps provide access.
FRIDAY Homeward bound, arriving back during the evening.
