One night dinner bed & breakfast
A well run hotel, with high standards of service and accommodation, set in 11 acres of quiet grounds close to the River Thames and the famous film studios. Facilities include: Lounge area and Regatta Bar & Brasserie.
On our outward journey we visit Hughenden, home of the Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Set in an unspoiled Chiltern valley, the house is full of the fascinating personal memorabilia of the colourful statesman. You will have time to explore the manor, including the basement exhibition, 1940's living room and ice-house bunker, as well as the lovely grounds. On to Shepperton for dinner and overnight accommodation.
We make the short transfer to Kew, where the gardens are transformed into a picture of pink and white perfection, as blossom and magnolia flowers cover the trees. Other spring favourites are the bluebell woods around Queen Charlotte's Cottage, and the Rhododendron Dell where hopefully the blooms will have reached their peak. We depart late afternoon for the journey home.
