MONDAY A leisurely outward journey to the delightful spa town of Harrogate, with its acres of immaculate gardens, elegant buildings and excellent shops, including the famous Betty's Tea Rooms.
TUESDAY A scenic excursion into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We make our way to Grassington, one of the best loved of all the Dales villages, with its diminutive cobbled square, and little alleyways to explore. From here we continue to the Wensleydale Creamery, in the heart of the Dales and an extraordinary place to visit, full of history, heritage and cheese! We enjoy a demonstration and include a two course lunch featuring locally sourced ingredients, before completing our circular tour back to Harrogate via Ripon.
WEDNESDAY We make our way to Newby Hall, one of Britain's finest Adam houses and an exceptional example of 18th century interior decoration. Explore the award winning gardens, mostly created in the 1920's, which have evolved over the years making a major contribution to 20th century gardening.
THURSDAY A wonderful day out in York, one of the most fascinating, diverse and romantic cities in Europe. As well as exquisite architecture and the iconic Minster, you'll find a wealth of world class visitor attractions and fantastic shops.
FRIDAY On our return journey we visit Burnby Hall Gardens on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and considered a jewel in Yorkshire's crown. The garden offers a wonderful array of changing vistas and is a haven of beauty and tranquillity. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the garden, as well as the historic market town of Pocklington, which is just a few minutes' walkaway, before continuing homeward.
