Holiday Itinerary

FRIDAY We make our way to Wells-next-the-Sea, architecturally the loveliest town on the coast. Its quaint lanes, alleyways and traditional houses date back to the 17th century. There will be time to take a pleasant stroll along the historic quayside and explore the town, before continuing to Great Yarmouth.

SATURDAY By far the best way to truly appreciate why the Broads are known as Britain's magical waterland, is by boat. Sit back and relax on a one and a half hour cruise as we slowly make our way through this enchanting landscape. Your skipper will explain the origins of the Broads, point out things of interest as well as the abundance of Broadland wildlife. We have time to visit the traditional and contemporary craft studios at Wroxham Barns, before making our way back to Yarmouth.

SUNDAY A leisurely day as we venture into Suffolk to visit the charming seaside town of Southwold, with its working lighthouse, beach huts, award winning pier and busy harbour, Southwold is a quintessential seaside town. In the early afternoon we make our way to Somerleyton Hall & Gardens. As well as beautiful stately mansion, walled garden, some wonderful specimen trees, topiary and rose beds, you'll find one of the finest yew hedge mazes in Britain, designed and planted in 1846. If no mistakes are made the journey to the centre and back is nearly 800 yards, but is usually found to be a lot longer!

MONDAY Free time in Yarmouth today, before leaving mid-afternoon to commence our homeward journey.
