Holiday Itinerary


MONDAY A leisurely outward journey, calling at the National Memorial Arboretum, before continuing to our hotel.

TUESDAY In the morning we visit the medieval town of Shrewsbury. With its magnificent black & white timber buildings, it's a wonderful place to explore and shop. We take a relaxing cruise on the beautiful River Severn, with tea/coffee & biscuits included, and have time for lunch (at own expense), before continuing in the afternoon to Wroxeter Vineyard for an award winning tour and tasting, with tea/coffee served on arrival. 

WEDNESDAY Our day starts at the Museum of The Gorge, where we enjoy a short film about the World Heritage Site, followed by a gentle riverside walk to see the iconic Iron Bridge & Tollhouse.From here we take a five minute coach transfer to the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron, to see stunning displays, art-castings and visit Abraham Darby’s furnace. To round off our day we visit Blists Hill Victorian Town, with time to explore and meet the Victorians.

THURSDAY A morning visit to the beautiful cathedral city of Worcester, and in the afternoon we visit the Museum of Carpet, Kidderminster's living legacy. Enjoy fascinating displays, hand and power loom demonstrations, and discover over 300 years of Kidderminster's integral history.

FRIDAY We journey to the Shugborough Estate, which returned to the care of the National Trust in 2017, and was once described as a perfect paradise. Here you can explore the mansion, unearth unusual treasures and experience life below stairs, then enter a world of glamour and royalty in the apartments of Patrick Lichfield 5th Earl and fashion photographer. We depart late afternoon to make our way home.
