SUNDAY A leisurely departure as we make our way to Hull for the overnight crossing to Rotterdam. Cabins included are inside with upper and lower berth. Meals are not included. Dinner and breakfast is optional and costs £30 per person per sailing.
MONDAY This morning we travel to Rotterdam, where we meet our guide for an hour long tour of this vibrant city. We finish our tour at the unique Markthal indoor market hall. Free time for lunch and shopping, before we complete our day with a 75 minute harbour cruise, giving us a powerful impression of the Port of Rotterdam. Continue to our hotel for three nights dinner, bed and breakfast.
TUESDAY We enjoy a guided tour of Royal Delft, home of the famous Delft blue earthenware. Our tour takes place in the last remaining 17th century Delftware factory, where we discover its history and watch the artisan painters at work. Tea/coffee and apple tart is included. A fifteen minute boat cruise takes us to Delft city centre, for free time to stroll around one of the most beautiful historic city centres in the Netherlands. This afternoon we visit The Hague, for a guided walk to take in the highlights of this chic compact city. We round off our day with a visit to the Van Kleef Distillery Museum for a liqueur tasting.
WEDNESDAY Today we sample the traditional flavours of Gouda. We begin at the Van den Berg Tearoom and enjoy a tea/coffee and Gouda syrup waffle, baked to a very secret recipe! A short walk takes us to the Waag Cheese and Crafts Museum, where we sample two of the Gouda cheeses in the museum shop. A lovely relaxing Gouda canal boat circular cruise this afternoon.
THURSDAY Time at leisure in The Hague, before making our way to Rotterdam for the return overnight crossing to Hull.
FRIDAY We disembark and make our way homeward.
