MONDAY We journey south west, pausing for a break en route, and arriving at our hotel during the afternoon where tea/coffee will be served on arrival.
TUESDAY A scenic drive through the Cheddar Gorge and a visit to the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company where we watch part of the cheese making process and enjoy a cheese tasting in the shop. From here we head to one of the area’s most historic towns – Wells, England’s smallest city, where there will be time to wander its medieval streets and take a look at the 800 year old Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace.
WEDNESDAY Today we feature Bath, a leafy, charming gem of a city. We have the benefit of a guided tour in the morning, before free time to explore the World Heritage streets, and visit some of the many attractions.
THURSDAY A half day excursion to Glastonbury, where the ruined Abbey is the legendary burial place of King Arthur & Queen Guinevere. The town is a joy to visit with its mix of English charm and alternative culture. An afternoon at leisure to relax in Weston, or perhaps visit the world’s largest dedicated Helicopter Museum, where you’ll find over 100 displayed aircraft. (Admission is not included).
FRIDAY We depart after breakfast and commence our homeward journey.
