This is a charming contemporary country house hotel overlooking the historic town of Stourport-on-Severn. Facilities include: Brasserie Restaurant; bar; lounge; indoor swimming pool; sauna & stream room; and complimentary Wi-Fi. No lift, however there are plenty of ground floor rooms available on request. Porterage is included.
FRIDAY Outward journey with an afternoon break in Stratford-upon-Avon. Enjoy time at leisure, before continuing to our hotel where tea/coffee and biscuits will be served on arrival.
SATURDAY Leominster is best known for its medieval black and white buildings and antique shops. We spend the morning in this quintessentially English town, and continue in the afternoon to Croft Castle and Parkland, where there are many compelling stories to uncover. You can also explore the walled garden, the working vineyard and historic glasshouse.
SUNDAY With the benefit of a local guide we take a scenic drive through this enchanting region, where the springtime blossom should be in full bloom, taking in some of the incredibly pretty villages along the way. Later we venture into “Archers Country”, taking in Hanbury and Inkberrow, locations on which the famous Radio 4 drama is based.
MONDAY We make our way to Coventry Transport Museum, where there will be time to discover the incredible and unique collections. You may also wish to visit Coventry Cathedral, which is just a five minute walk away, in the heart of the UK City of Culture 2021. This extraordinarystructure, which has been voted the UK’s favourite 20th century building, is well worth a visit. We depart mid-afternoon to continue our homeward journey.
