MONDAY Today’s excursion takes us to Loch Katrine for a two hour cruise along the full length of the loch aboard the SS Steam Ship Sir Walter Scott, followed by a delicious lunch at the Lochside Restaurant.
TUESDAY We enjoy a cruise on Loch Lomond and, weather permitting, we will visit the island of Inchcailloch, where in springtime the carpets of bluebells create a backdrop for the wildlife. We will allow time to enjoy refreshments and to explore, before continuing our cruise.
WEDNESDAY After breakfast we set off to Duntreath Castle, the ancestral home of the Edmonstone family. Lady Edmonstone will greet you and give you a guided tour of her castle, followed by morning coffee and home baking in the drawing room. She will then take everyone on a guided tour of the garden and grounds, visiting the swathes of bluebells. We return to the hotel for a soup and sandwich lunch, and an afternoon at leisure.
THURSDAY We bid farewell to Scotland and commence our homeward journey.
