FRIDAY An early morning departure for our ferry to Calais, and on to Rüdesheim, where we arrive during the evening, and enjoy a welcome glass of wine and dinner.
SATURDAY Today we embark on a 2.5 hour cruise from Rüdesheim to Boppard, taking in the stunning views whilst enjoying a Bergisch waffle and a hot drink. We arrive in Boppard in the early afternoon for time at leisure to explore the old town. Amongst its interesting attractions are its Roman Fort, 12th century Carmelite Church and the Electoral Castle of Boppard.
SUNDAY We spend today at leisure. Our hotel is right in the centre of the old town on the famous Drosselgasse, and from here you can wander to the cable car, which takes you up to the Niederwald Monument, enjoying the amazing views; perhaps visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Museum; or simply relax in the town.

We enjoy a 1.5 hours guided walking tour of the city, before our visit to the iconic castle for our guided tour. Our day concludes with a tasting of five wines in the Fasskeller at the Castle.
