Four nights dinner bed & breakfast
In a lovely location on the sea front, opposite the gardens and the promenade. Facilities include: Lounge/reception area; large screen TV lounge; lounge bar & ballroom; open plan dining room overlooking the sea front, serving food carvery style; and entertainment on two evenings. Sea view and sea view balcony rooms carry a supplement, and are available on request. Lift serves first floor only.
MONDAY On our outward journey we include a fish and chip lunch at Bolton's award winning Olympus Restaurant. Suitably replete we continue to Samlesbury Hall for our visit to this stunning stately home where the past meets the present,and we include a specialist guide to keep you enthralled and entertained. From here we journey on to St Annes or our four night stay.
TUESDAY We visit the nearby resort of Southport, with its miles of unspoilt coastline, beautiful parks and gardens, listed pier, and of course Lord Street, with its length of Victorian canopied shops offering some excellent retail therapy.
WEDNESDAY A day at leisure to explore St Annes. After dinner, on our SEPTEMBER tour only, we travel to nearby Blackpool for a drive through the illuminations.
THURSDAY Today's excursion takes us to the stunning ancestral home of the de Hoghton family, Hoghton Tower, an ancient fortified hilltop manor house commanding breathtaking views of Lancashire, the Lake District and North Wales. We include a guided tour of the house, and allow plenty of time to explore the house and gardens at your leisure. Please note that access for those with limited mobility is restricted.
FRIDAY We take a scenic route homewards taking suitable stops en route.
