SUNDAY Outward journey with suitable stops en route.
MONDAY Today we visit Buckland Abbey. The abbey, later converted into a house, today combines furnished rooms with museum galleries, bringing to life the stories of seafaring adventurers Sir Richard Grenville and Sir Frances Drake. Outdoors you'll find a walled kitchen garden, Cider House garden and wild garden as well as an impressive medieval Great Barn.
TUESDAY A morning excursion to the neighbouring resorts of Paignton & Brixham, and an afternoon at leisure.
WEDNESDAY A day at leisure to enjoy Torquay and its many attractions.
THURSDAY We make our way to the elegant resort of Sidmouth nestling beneath the majestic red cliffs of the Jurassic Coast and the hills of the glorious Sid Valley. In the afternoon we continue to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, Devon's most magnificent botanical gardens. The superbly landscaped park includes historic glass houses a countryside museum and a woodland train ride, (small additional cost applies for the train).
FRIDAY A day at leisure.
SATURDAY We return home, with convenient stops en route.
