Four nights dinner bed & breakfast, and two nights entertainment
Set in rural North Wales a short drive from the historic market town of Mold. Facilities include: The Orchard Restaurant; Arches Bar; Coffee Lounge; and complimentary Wi-Fi. Porterage is included. There is no lift, however there are plenty of ground floor rooms.
We depart in the morning to make our way to Wales, with a break in Chester, and arrive during the afternoon to enjoy tea/coffee and Bara Brith, before settling into our rooms.
We visit Liverpool and have time at leisure to explore the city – With two outstanding cathedrals, the landmark Museum of Liverpool at the Pier Head, the Historic Albert Dock, and of course great shopping, you’ll be spoilt for choice. After lunch (at own expense) we enjoy stunning views, fascinating history and unlimited sea air on a circular cruise on the Mersey. Also included is admission to the U-boat Story, where you will discover an amazing view of life on board.
From the pretty town of Llangollen we join the Rheilffordd Llangollen Railway for a nostalgic train ride. Next we have a trip on the Llangollen Canal, the country's biggest navigable aqueduct, known as the “Stream in the Sky”.
We make our way to Blaenau Ffestiniog for a ride to Porthmadog on the Ffestiniog Railway. We board our coach once again in Porthmadog and enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Snowdonia National Park via Beddgelert and Betws-y-Coed, before returning to the hotel.
After breakfast we commence our homeward journey, making suitable stops en route.
