Smiths Hotel is in a prime position on the seafront with panoramic views of the bay, and offers attractively furnished en suite bedrooms. Hotel facilities include elegant restaurant; patio with sea views; lounge; and two bars. Porterage is included.
MONDAY We journey south west, pausing for a break en route, and arriving at our hotel during the afternoon where tea/coffee will be served.
TUESDAY Today we feature Bath, a leafy charming gem of a city. We enjoy free time here to explore the World Heritage streets, and perhaps visit some of the many attractions.
WEDNESDAY This morning we board the West Somerset Railway, Britain’s longest steam railway, at Bishops Lydeard, for a scenic ride through the Quantock Hills to the resort of Minehead. Enjoy time at leisure in Minehead, before we head across Exmoor National Park and return to the hotel.
THURSDAY A scenic drive through the Cheddar Gorge today, as we head to one of the area’s most historic towns - Wells, England’s smallest city, where there will be ample time to wander its medieval streets and perhaps take a look at the 800 year old Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace. We return to Weston in the afternoon for time at leisure.
FRIDAY We depart after breakfast and commence our homeward journey.
