We continue to Cardiff for an afternoon at leisure where you can explore the attractive city centre, as well as modernised Cardiff Bay with its fascinating public buildings, or perhaps visit Cardiff Castle (admission not included).
WEDNESDAY We enjoy a morning at the Gower Heritage Centre. Set in the heart of the Gower Peninsula, the centre is a visitor attraction and rural life museum based around a working 12th century watermill. We also include a guided panoramic tour of the unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula. We then venture into Swansea’s Maritime Quarter, a lovely marina area, with promenades along the quayside dotted with cafés and restaurants. Whilst here, perhaps visit the National Waterfront Museum (free entry).
THURSDAY A morning cruise along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. Enjoy the peace of this historic waterway, cruising through some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain lying within the Brecon Beacons National Park. We rejoin the coach and continue to Brecon for some free time to explore.
FRIDAY We depart after breakfast for our homeward journey, making suitable comfort stops en route.
