Holiday Itinerary

Itinerary

MONDAY We journey to Wales, making suitable stops en route.  Mulled wine and mince pies will be served upon arrival at the hotel.

TUESDAY  “Christmas Day”. We journey through the Teifi Valley to the National Wool Museum where we discover the spellbinding story of the Welsh woollen industry. After our visit we return through the valley to Cardigan, its unspoilt townscape and rich heritage providing a nostalgic backdrop to a thriving culture of arts and crafts. We enjoy some time at leisure here before returning to the hotel. This evening we enjoy a Christmas-themed dinner followed by entertainment.

WEDNESDAY Our first visit today is the Lovespoon Workshop at Kilgetty, to see a carving demonstration showcasing this wonderful 17th century Welsh tradition. On then to the popular holiday resort of Tenby, where you will find old town walls, an intruiging maze of side streets to explore, colourful rows of cottages, and superb beaches. An evening of entertainment will follow dinner.

THURSDAY New Year’s Eve”. Today we travel along the Ceredigion coast to New Quay, a popular and beautiful fishing village, with a sheltered harbour, and picturesque houses, pubs and restaurants clinging to the hillsides rising above the sea. We continue to Aberaeron, centred on a central Regency Square. It is the multi-coloured grand architecture, as well as its sleepy harbour which make this town such a unique and charming place to visit. A New Year-themed dinner will be followed by entertainment.

FRIDAY We commence our journey home, taking suitable breaks en route.
