MONDAY On our outward journey we visit Harrogate. Perhaps enjoy a stroll through Valley Gardens, or take a walk down Montpellier Hill, experiencing the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the area. From here we continue to the hotel for our four night stay.
TUESDAY We head to the Black Sheep Brewery, for a glimpse behind the scenes of this historic brewery. The tour gives fascinating insight into how the beers are made and the unique processes used to create the perfect pint, including the opportunity to sample the wares in the Brewhouse. We continue further into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales to the Wensleydale Creamery, an extraordinary place to visit, full of history, heritage and cheese!
WEDNESDAY A day in York, where we visit York Cocoa House. From Terry’s to Rowntree’s, some of the most famous names in confectionery were founded in York. Have a go at making the sweet stuff yourself, and enjoy the all-important taste test. Later, enjoy an afternoon tea showcasing some of Yorkshire’s best produce, and the rest of the day is at leisure to explore this beautiful compact city.
THURSDAY First stop is Pickering where we board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a scenic journey to Whitby. Enjoy free time in this charming town dominated by the cliff top ruins of the beautiful 13th century Whitby Abbey. You’ll find the old town full of quirky shops, sea shanty inns, and quaint tea rooms. No visit would be complete without a fish & chip tea, which is included here to round off our day.
FRIDAY We depart the hotel and commence our homeward journey, taking a break in the beautiful market town of Beverley en route.
